With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and substance use field, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and person-centered care to individuals and families in need. My work is rooted in trauma-informed practice, integrated recovery support, and community engagement, and I am passionate about expanding access to quality behavioral health and home care services in underserved communities. As a clinician and leader, I strive to support healing, empowerment, and resilience while ensuring MetaHealth delivers excellence, integrity, and hope to every person we serve.
Danelle Locklear, MSW, LCSW, LCASA

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of dedicated experience in the fields of mental health, substance abuse counseling, and school-based behavioral health coordination. Throughout my career, I have been guided by a strong sense of compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to helping others. I have dedicated myself to advocating for individuals and families while working to strengthen access to essential community resources. My clinical expertise includes conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and offering crisis intervention. I develop treatment and recovery plans that are tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. In addition to my clinical work, I am skilled in program coordination and interagency collaboration, facilitating partnerships between schools, mental health providers, and community organizations to improve behavioral health outcomes across North Carolina.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and bring over 17 years of experience as a Qualified Professional in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I have provided comprehensive behavioral health services to both adults and children across a variety of settings. In addition to direct service experience, I have extensive background in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement (QA/QI), ensuring services meet regulatory standards, support client safety, and promote best-practice care delivery. I am committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered support that fosters emotional well-being, independence, and meaningful progress. My goal is to ensure that every individual we serve receives compassionate, effective care and that MetaHealth continues to uphold excellence in service delivery and positive client outcomes.
